Self Care Is Not Selfish

Who else gets that guilty feeling when they have a million things on the to-do list, with deadlines to meet and people to please – but they just need some time to rest? There is a common misconception, in today’s society especially, that self love and self care are in fact “selfish”. I struggled for many years with trying to keep up with the constant “hustle”, only to find that I would burn myself out and it would take even longer to bounce back.

My daily self-care includes a coffee and a walk by the beach.

Remember to take some time for yourself today – and every day – just to stop, sit, breath, put down the phone, turn off the computer screen and relax.
